*Radiologic Technologist*
Position Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist at SMPC, you’ll play a key role in helping our physicians perform fluoroscopic procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment while ensuring the highest standards of radiation safety for patients and staff. You’ll also work closely with our nursing team to provide coordinated, compassionate care, making a real difference in each patient’s experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you’ll be an integral part of our care team, helping to deliver exceptional patient care. On a daily basis, you’ll:
_*Perform Diagnostic Imaging and Fluoroscopy*_
As a Radiologic Technologist at SMPC, you’ll operate advanced imaging equipment to perform diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, producing clear, high-quality images while keeping radiation exposure to a minimum. You’ll prepare sterile trays, position patients safely and comfortably, and assist physicians during procedures, all while applying your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety.
_*Collaborate and Coordinate Care*_
Working hand-in-hand with nursing staff and providers, you’ll help deliver seamless, patient-centered care, ensuring all patients feels supported throughout their visits.
_*Document and Stay Organized*_
You’ll maintain precise patient records and document all procedures in our EMR and other software systems, helping the team stay coordinated and compliant with regulatory standards.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
You’ll have a two-year certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program and a current, unrestricted Radiologic Technologist licensure in Michigan. You’ll also have relevant experience in clinical Radiologic Technology in an ambulatory setting specific to pain management (more than one year preferred). Your experience will help you understand medical office processes and functions. EMR software experience is a bonus.
You communicate effectively, have a high level of attention to detail and time management skills, and can maintain and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment. You provide exceptional patient-focused service, stay calm under pressure, and can handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 lbs when needed. Working Conditions and Requirements:
· *Schedule:* Full-time, Monday–Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST, Friday half day (typically 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) with occasional extended or outside hours as needed.
· *Location:* In-person, primarily at our Portage office. May report to other locations for training or meetings.
· *Environment:* Work takes place indoors, with moderate to heavy computer use. Work may involve basic safety precautions standard in a healthcare environment.
· *Requirements:* Must be available to work scheduled hours, arrive on time, and be ready to work. Successful completion of a drug screen and criminal background check is required; random drug testing may also occur. Must maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a virtual office setting.
· *Physical Demands:* This role requires regular movement throughout the day - standing, bending, lifting, and assisting with patient positioning or transfers. You should be comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs and using moderate physical strength as part of daily duties. This position also requires the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and have adequate auditory and visual acuity to perform tasks safely and accurately.
