Site Superintendent – ICI New-Build (Projects $20M–$80M)
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations for new-build ICI projects, ensuring work progresses safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents.

  • Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.

  • Maintain and enforce site safety programs, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with OHSA and company standards.

  • Develop and manage detailed short-interval schedules; monitor progress and adjust sequencing as needed.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to identify conflicts, changes, or areas requiring clarification.

  • Lead daily site meetings and maintain clear communication with Project Managers, consultants, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship meets project standards and design intent.

  • Manage site logistics, including deliveries, equipment, materials, and access planning.

  • Document site activities through daily reports, progress photos, and incident reporting.

  • Support project closeout activities including deficiency management, inspections, and turnover documentation.


Qualifications
  • 7–15+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on ICI new-build projects.

  • Proven track record managing projects in the $20M–$80M range.

  • Strong knowledge of ICI construction methods, building codes, and sequencing.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.

  • Excellent understanding of site safety regulations and experience enforcing safety programs.

  • Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting tools (e.g., Procore, CMiC, PlanGrid, or similar).

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents with accuracy.

  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid) considered an asset.
