About
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Shopper Marketing and Merchandising Manager will be the key lead in bringing our brand strategies to life across our key customers and a key player, as well as amongst marketing, sales, category and sales strategy teams. This role will lead the strategic planning, development, communication, and evaluation of plans. They will have ownership of the customer journey and complete the path to purchase of all key customers offline and online to deliver best-in-class programs.
Responsibilities:
- Set shopper marketing and merchandising direction and strategy
- Execute shopper marketing activities including both in-store and digital to achieve brand business goals (NTS, market share)
- Leverage customer insights, market dynamics, customer needs, brand strategies and global category, POS guidelines and best practices to define strategies and opportunities across our wholesale customers & Ecommerce channels
- Lead the brand's merchandising strategy to identify the biggest opportunities to drive physical availability across all brands
- Maximize investment by connecting what matters to the shopper and consumer at the retailers point of purchase through upper and lower funnel strategies and tactics and ensure clear attribution of in-store activation to driving sales
- Define the strategic direction for the Shopper Marketing function and the lead development of shopper marketing programs and execution working with agency partners, brand teams, customers and media partners
- Optimize profitability and deliver strong instore merchandising solutions to represent Lindt as the premium brand
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7+ years Marketing or agency experience in either brand, shopper or trade, in alcohol or other CPG brands
- Experience pulling and synthesizing data
- Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods industry with experience working with grocery & drug customers preferred
- Experience in developing Shopper Marketing programs and collaborating with Sales team and customers.
- Good knowledge of the Canadian retail environment and understanding of the elements that trigger conversion of shoppers at the POS
- Preference experience in ecommerce enterprise
