Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy and integrity for our clientele.
Job description
- Preparation of financial statements and working papers for operating and investment companies
- Preparing personal, corporate and trust tax returns (T1, T2, T3)
- General bookkeeping from transactional recordings through to the preparation of financial statements.
- Calculation, reporting and filing of compliance reports, e.g. GST/QST, Payroll
- Effective communication with our clients and government agencies
- Providing advice and training to other staff members
Qualifications and experience
- Proficiency using Quickbooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Excel and other relevant platforms
- Prior experience working with Caseware, Caseview, TaxPrep, and Profile
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting firm
- Ability to work in French and English
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
