Senior Accountant Small Business CPA firm

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy and integrity for our clientele.

Job description

• Preparation of financial statements and working papers for operating and investment companies
• Preparing personal, corporate and trust tax returns (T1, T2, T3)
• General bookkeeping from transactional recordings through to the preparation of financial statements.
• Calculation, reporting and filing of compliance reports, e.g. GST/QST, Payroll
• Effective communication with our clients and government agencies
• Providing advice and training to other staff members

Qualifications and experience

• Proficiency using Quickbooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Excel and other relevant platforms
• Prior experience working with Caseware, Caseview, TaxPrep, and Profile
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting firm
• Ability to work in French and English
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong commitment to professional client service excellence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
