About the Role
As Store Manager, you will:
- Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers find materials, tools, and inspiration.
- Oversee daily store operations including staffing, inventory, scheduling, and class coordination.
- Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and merchandising.
- Support and mentor staff to create a welcoming and knowledgeable environment for all customers.
- Collaborate with the owner to plan promotions, events, and educational programs.
This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, reliable, and people-oriented, with a passion for crafts and learning, and the ability to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and motivate a small team to provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the retail store, including inventory management, cleaning and tidying, customer service, etc. — ensuring everything is well-organized and easy to find.
- Resolve customer or staff issues with calmness and fairness.
- Develop skills in sewing and quilting to better advise our customers.
- Coordinate events and classes as required.
- Ensure store procedures, safety, and policies are followed.
- Foster a warm, educational, and supportive atmosphere for both staff and customers.

Requirements
- Retail or customer service management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance high standards with warmth and approachability.
- Comfortable with POS systems, and inventory.
- Availability for some weekends, and occasional evenings or class days as needed.

Hours:
Part time. This job is for 24-30 hours per week. You must be available for some weekday and weekend shifts (flexibility is offered to take time off or swap shifts).
Pay rate: $24 per hour
