We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Milestones team in London, ON.

Job Summary

As the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations including team leadership, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and maintaining a high standard of food quality and service and reporting directly to the General Manager of the restaurant. You will inspire and motivate your team to uphold Milestones' brand values and exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team to deliver outstanding service and operational excellence.
  • Drive sales and profitability by developing and executing strategic plans and local marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all operational standards, policies, and procedures including health & safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, cost controls, and labor scheduling to maximize efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members while fostering a positive, engaging work environment.
  • Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor to lead by example and support team performance.
  • Collaborate with The GM, Other Managers and the Regional Managers and support teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and goals.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years hospitality industry experience in a leadership role (AGM, MGE and/or Senior Manager) Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Business Management and/or proven personal commitment to professional development an asset
  • Proven success with both people development in leadership positions and long-term sales growth
  • Proven ability to achieve results through others
  • Demonstrates ability to attract and retain excellent performers and to develop high performing teams
  • Leadership and communication:
  • Has a leadership style that is developmental vs. policing, promotes a culture of dialogue, role models values and practices of the company
  • Proven entrepreneurial spirit through having presence "on the floor" and in the community
  • The successful candidate is expected to be a leader in demonstrating behaviours consistent with Milestones Culture Statement 'We Create Perfect Guest Experiences Because We Genuinely Care About Our Guests'.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year

Bonuses: $7,000 to $9,000 per year
