Full Stack Developer

Our Media Inc. is a Toronto based Digital Agency providing businesses with an "in-house" growth partner to grow digitally. We specialize in merging Digital Marketing and software development to create personalized and automated systems for our clients across various verticals, notably Healthcare.

We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in this pivotal role as Lead Developer. In this role, you'll be leading all custom development projects and work directly with clients to bring their complex ideas to life. From crafting custom WordPress plugins to developing data-driven dashboards and marketing automation systems, you'll lead the delivery of exceptional technical solutions that shape our clients' industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Custom Development

• Develop custom WordPress plugins, Shopify Apps, and themes.
• Build and maintain automation programs.
• Create and enhance custom dashboards using Looker Studio, BigQuery, and SQL for data parsing and visualization.
• Work on API development and integrations to connect systems and platforms.

Full-Stack Development

• Front-end development on WordPress and Shopify platforms.
• Back-end development, including optimizing performance, functionality, and integrations.
• Lead web development projects from ideation to execution and completion.
• QA of vibe-coded applications or AI-assisted developed artifacts

Project Leadership

• Act as the technical lead in client meetings and development project discussions.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality control on all development deliverables.

Client Interaction

• Directly meet with clients to gather requirements, present progress, and manage expectations.
• Translate client needs into actionable development plans.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with front-end frameworks like HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Expertise in back-end development, including PHP, SQL, and API integration.
• Proficiency in Python for data parsing, automation, and advanced dashboard development.
• Proficiency in custom WordPress plugin and theme development.
• Familiarity with Shopify development (both front-end and back-end).

Data & Automation:

• Experience with marketing automation tools and systems integration.
• Skilled in dashboard creation (Looker Studio, BigQuery) and SQL-based data management.

Leadership & Project Management:

• Proven experience leading development projects from start to finish.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior developers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Communication:

• Comfort speaking directly with clients and leading meetings.
• Ability to clearly translate technical concepts into non-technical language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on development experience in web development, custom plugin creation, marketing systems, and data dashboard development.
• Familiarity with Git version control and deployment workflows.
• Experience working in marketing or e-commerce environments.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or tools (Python, Ruby, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with BigQuery scripting and advanced dashboarding techniques.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
