Accountant/Bookkeeper
to join our team in Prince George, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for one or more corporate entities
  • Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices (inter-company and third-party billings)
  • Monitor AR activity and resolve discrepancies
  • Accounts payable; including data entry, supplier reconciliations, and payment processing
  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations, supplier account reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations
  • Maintain and track fixed assets; calculate and record amortization and depreciation
  • Prepare and file GST, PST, payroll, and other tax remittances accurately and on time
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including financial reporting
  • Prepare year-end working papers for internal review and coordinate with external accountants to ensure timely completion of annual financial statements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis to support job estimating and project tracking
  • Provide general office administration and reception support as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Experience in construction, forestry, or industrial services preferred
  • Post-secondary accounting education; CPA, CGA, or CA designation is an asset but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting software, Excel, and Office 365
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team members across departments as needed
