*Duties*
* Dispense prescription medications accurately using advanced pharmacy software systems, ensuring adherence to all legal and safety standards.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including evaluating medical histories and current health conditions.
* Provide consultation on medication management, including drug interactions, side effects, and proper administration techniques.
* Manage inventory levels efficiently by tracking medication stock, reordering supplies proactively, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
* Perform patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment adherence.
* Support medical management initiatives by collaborating with healthcare teams on pain management protocols and acute care strategies.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times.
* Assist in training pharmacy technicians and new staff members to uphold high standards of service delivery..
*Experience*
Candidates should possess a valid pharmacist license with demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice. Prior experience working in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or critical care settings is highly desirable. Ideal applicants will have strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to facilitate accurate patient assessments and effective communication with healthcare teams. Experience with pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), compounding medications, and inventory management are essential skills for success in this role. Additional qualifications include familiarity related to medication administration, pain management strategies, and HIPAA compliance standards. Your expertise will help us uphold our commitment to safe medication practices while advancing innovative pharmaceutical care solutions across various healthcare settings.
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
