About the role:
At Tapestry, data informs all our decisions. Data Scientists collaborate across the organization to shape business and technical strategies by processing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets. Using advanced analytical and statistical methods, you will identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, enhance advertising effectiveness, optimize network infrastructure, and analyze user behavior. Your role extends beyond number crunching to strategic insights and impactful solutions.
How you’ll make a 10X impact:
Apply cutting-edge data science techniques to build and deploy data pipelines and conduct exploratory data analysis on large-scale datasets.
Develop and test new analytical methods to extract critical insights and communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Handle large datasets, solve complex analysis problems, and conduct end-to-end analyses from data collection to presentation.
Build and prototype analysis pipelines to deliver scalable insights.
Present findings effectively through visualizations and reports tailored to various audiences.
Research and develop forecasting and optimization methods across various domains, including ad quality, search quality, and behavioral modeling.
What you should have:
PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field with 5+ years of industry experience as a statistician, bioinformatician, or data scientist, with expertise in statistical analysis (linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling).
Experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Experience with cloud services and storage of structured and unstructured data.
Experience processing live data streams, including sampling and synchronization.
Knowledge of electric power grid data and physics-based understanding of electrical networks.
Applied experience with machine learning on large datasets.
Ability to translate business questions into mathematical analyses.
Skill in creating compelling data visualizations (dashboards).
Ability to select appropriate statistical tools for analysis problems.
Experience managing diverse teams and working cross-functionally.
Experience collaborating with software engineering teams to deploy ML systems.
Expertise in computer vision models and time series forecasting.
Experience developing model evaluation tools and processes.
Preferred additional skills:
Comfort with ambiguity, goal-setting, and delivering in fast-changing environments.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Strong problem-solving, business judgment, leadership, and communication skills.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management.
Quick learner with interest in diverse technologies and industries.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary is determined by location, skills, experience, and education. Additional compensation details will be shared during hiring.
