OVERVIEW As Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for developing leading-edge digital solutions that span multiple functions, including Product, Engineering, QE, UX, MarTech, and Data. You will help shape our technology strategy, evolve, and future-proof our platform. The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, and possess a strong technical background, leadership, and communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the development and execution of the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmaps, and governance frameworks aligned with retail business goals. Conduct research, analyze, design, and deliver enterprise architectures tailored for the retail industry, including infrastructure, resiliency, security, governance, automation, and integration. Evaluate new technologies and determine their applicability in delivering SaaS for digital retail operations. Provide architectural guidance and collaborate across stakeholder organizations to ensure solutions meet industry requirements. Lead cloud readiness assessments, application modernization initiatives, and cost-benefit analyses for retail systems. Design deployment architectures for enterprise services, user experience, and operational excellence to ensure performance, fault tolerance, redundancy, and scalability. Oversee the integration of omnichannel delivery methods and mobility experiences for seamless retail customer experiences. Work with implementation teams to bring concepts to delivery successfully. Promote a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging good engineering practices, minimizing waste and technical debt. Embrace calculated risk-taking to achieve business goals. QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of overall technical experience with at least 5 years leading teams as a solutions architect. Experience in driving composable commerce solutions for B2C digital capabilities on web/mobile/app platforms. Use of AI/data-centric approaches to scale customer journeys and backend systems. Proven ability to translate complex technical or business problems into successful features. Strong systems engineering background, capable of simplifying complex challenges from design to operation. Experience working with distributed teams both onshore and offshore. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Familiarity with UX methodologies, backend integrations, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and automation. Experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Cloud and making buy vs. build decisions; integration with third-party vendors. Experience with cloud providers – AWS, Azure, GCP. Knowledge of modern frameworks/libraries – React, Vue, Next.js. This position requires onsite work at our Beverly Hills or San Ramon office.
