You will lead efforts to develop models for natural human-object and human-device interactions, joining a research team renowned for advancements in human sensing and generative AI, pioneering innovative Apple Intelligence features. Description

We need a hands-on technical leader capable of setting strategic long-term goals with clear milestones. You will provide technical guidance, foster collaborations, and influence cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with senior leadership and adapting to evolving project needs. Your role involves advancing human interaction modeling at both system and algorithm levels, tackling challenges like perceiving subtle cues, managing streaming inputs, reasoning over temporal contexts, developing adaptive memory systems, and creating rich internal representations for downstream tasks. You will deliver solutions suitable for production, such as APIs for ML models or algorithms integrated into training infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications

5+ years leading ML research teams Expertise in SOTA large auto-regressive transformer models, multi-modal encoders, and representation learning Strong organizational skills and experience with diverse, cross-functional teams Proficiency in Python and software engineering principles in ML codebases Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading applied research in industry Proven record of deploying innovative ML in production Knowledge of developing ML for resource-constrained devices Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields Publications in peer-reviewed venues Pay & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $208,300 to $360,200, depending on skills and experience. Employees can participate in stock programs, receive medical/dental benefits, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursements, and may be eligible for bonuses or relocation assistance.
