*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
* Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
* Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing medical waste, and maintaining a sterile environment.
* Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all procedures are properly coded with medical coding standards for billing purposes.
*Experience*
* Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with dental office management software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology is essential.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and documentation review processes ensures compliance and accuracy in all clinical activities.
* Reliability and consistency in attendance are required!

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
