Our client, a well-established small-to-medium enterprise operating within the UK Secure Government Sector, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Westminster. This is a high-impact role supporting critical national infrastructure and defence programmes. About the Role
The successful candidate will be a DevOps specialist with strong experience in container orchestration, particularly with Kubernetes and OpenShift, and will be comfortable working in a secure, on-site environment. Responsibilities
Design, implement and manage containerised environments using Kubernetes and OpenShift Develop and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines Apply infrastructure-as-code principles using tools such as Terraform and Ansible Monitor system performance and resolve complex production issues Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all environments Qualifications
Current SC clearance is mandatory Candidates must be eligible for DV clearance (British citizen, resident in the UK for the past 10 years) Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift Proven background in DevOps within secure or government environments Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Skills
Experience in working on high-impact, secure government projects Ability to join a close-knit, agile team within an established SME Pay range and compensation package
