Your day-to-day role and responsibilities include:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Lead the design and delivery of ARNE's annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and long‑term financial models, ensuring alignment with business strategy and growth objectives. Challenge and influence stakeholders to drive accountability and ensure commercial targets are achieved. Performance Reporting & Insight
Oversee all trading, margin, and performance reporting (weekly, monthly, and quarterly), delivering actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency. Present concise and impactful analysis to Senior Leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Support the Head of Finance and wider business with financial insight, ad hoc analysis, and board‑level reporting. Business Partnering
Serve as the Financial Partner for key business areas, Product, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations, ensuring commercial decisions are grounded in sound financial rationale. Collaborate with Marketing, Paid Media, and CRM teams to accurately forecast spend, measure ROI, and optimise campaign performance. Partner with Merchandising to manage stockholding, stock ageing, and freight costs, maximising working capital efficiency. Margin & Cost Management
Lead detailed margin analysis by product, category, and channel – identifying leakage, optimising pricing, and informing promotional strategies. Support pricing and discounting decisions to ensure they drive both volume and profitability. Work cross‑functionally to manage and reduce overheads while maintaining operational agility. Strategic Projects & Investments
Act as finance lead on major business initiatives, including international expansion, retail growth, and new market entry. Evaluate business cases for strategic projects, ensuring clear ROI and alignment with long‑term objectives. Provide commercial insight on investment priorities and capital allocation. Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and accountability. Build capability within the team to enhance analytical rigour and business partnering skills. Champion cross‑departmental collaboration and continuous improvement. About You
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post‑qualified experience in commercial finance. Proven experience in a senior finance role within a fast‑paced, consumer, retail, or eCommerce environment. Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insight. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence at all levels. Highly commercial mindset, with a track record of improving profitability and driving strategic outcomes. Experienced people leader who thrives on developing talent and building high‑performing teams. Comfortable operating in a dynamic, growing business where agility, proactivity, and strategic thinking are key. Benefits
