The mission AI Defense at Cisco is to provide end-to-end protection for Enterprise AI application. The team has deep expertise in AI and security and is an active contributor to cutting edge research and standards on AI and security. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll have the chance to design cutting-edge ML algorithms that detect and protect against AI security risks. You'll gain deep expertise in the fields of both AI and security, engaging with all facets of detection techniques and their deployment in production environments. You will collaborate with a talented team of ML engineers, and security experts, and play a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking AI solutions. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will .

Track and identify AI security risks, experiment with latest ML techniques to build SoTA protections Be hands-on and build e2e ML workflows, experimentation pipelines, evaluation strategies. Deploy and productize protection mechanisms. Work with Senior Engineers to understand latest GenAI research and applications that lead to novel security risk Participate in red-teaming assessments to help uncover threats, to gather context and collect data used to solidify our products. Collaborate with Threat Hunting and research to help build novel synthetic data generation algorithms for new and emerging threats. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to our overall machine learning culture as a member of the team.

Minimum Qualifications (Provide up to five (5) bullet points -

Bachelor with 3 year / Master degree with 1 year / PhD in Computer Science or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in AI model development A strong background in AI, machine learning, and deep learning technologies Strong programming skills in generic programming languages such as Python or Golang. Strong grounding in ML concepts like bias and variance, supervised & unsupervised learning, Generative AI etc.,

Preferred Qualifications (Provide up to five (5) bullet points:

An attitude of hands-on learning and constant experimentation to decompose and understand problem areas. Comfortable with fast iterative style development in an environment that requires autonomous thinking, risk taking and bias for action. Ability to use the latest GenAI technologies and creative prompting. Comfortable with traditional ML frameworks like pytorch, TensorFlow, FastAI etc... Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
