*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to become an integral part of our dynamic home health rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant, fostering a strong professional partnership to provide seamless, patient-centered care. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do—you will actively engage with your physical and speech therapy teammates to create cohesive treatment plans that support each patient’s rehabilitation journey.
This position serves a well-established territory with a proven history of patient demand, ensuring a steady and rewarding caseload. Your geographic service area is clearly defined by the specific zip codes to ensure clarity around what you will be responsible for and minimize drive time. Our team-oriented environment thrives on open communication, shared expertise, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients.
If you are passionate about teamwork, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact in patients’ lives, we’d love to hear from you!
*Compensation*
This opportunity offers a rewarding compensation structure designed to recognize hard work, including:
* Base salary guaranteed
* Mileage reimbursement for all visits at full $0.67/mile from your home
* Health stipend equivalent to normal health insurance cost
* Opportunity for additional visits to cover time off for other team members, excess demand in your territory, or to expand your territory, all paid at an overtime rate including mileage.
*Duties*
* Cover cases across assigned territory including Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding areas. Territories will be strategically rotated daily to ensure minimal drive time.
* Maintain full control of schedule while receiving route optimization support from in-house scheduler.
* Supervise occupational therapist Assistants in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
* Provide direct patient care, including exercises, modalities, and therapeutic interventions.
* Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
* Lead in discharge planning and contribute to care plans for ongoing patient management.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with medical terminology standards.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques.
*Qualifications*
* Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
* Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
* Experience in patient care within the home health settings is preferred.
* Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the development of care plans is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
* A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to improving patients' quality of life through rehabilitation.
Join our team as a Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients as they work towards recovery and improved mobility.
