About
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards. *Duties*
* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards
* Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, and exhaust systems
* Document inspection results accurately and provide clear feedback to customers regarding necessary repairs or maintenance
* Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration is up-to-date
* Assist with minor repairs or adjustments if qualified, using appropriate hand and power tools
* Keep the testing bay clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to vehicle testing and safety protocols
* Carry out routine servicing/repairs/Laser Wheel Alignment when Mot bookings are quiet.
*Skills*
* Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems and components
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as manoeuvring tyres or vehicle parts
* Excellent attention to detail to identify faults accurately during inspections
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tests efficiently
* Effective communication skills to explain findings clearly to customers and team members
* Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role is essential; relevant additional training can be provided for the right candidate
\* Hours Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30pm

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
