Our client, a specialist Part 145 aviation organisation, delivering high-quality, cost-effective maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, along with a comprehensive Total Support framework for PT6 Engine Operators worldwide, are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager, based in Lancashire, with regular travel required. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager; * To support the General Manager and wider management team to establish, implement and manage short, medium and long-term operational plans and objectives. * Responsible for development of new market opportunities through new customer market research, contact, project planning, budgeting, structured marketing communications, project implementation and cost management for defined market segments. * Targeting of market and customer segments in a manner which, will maximise the use of the clients’ resources and capabilities to optimize revenue and profit growth. * To maintain close customer relationships and act as the main point of contact for potential and existing customers. This work requires investigating, resolving and managing a wide variety of complex projects that carry long-term commercial implications. * Address new customer requirements and expectations in a timely manner, ensuring that appropriate responses and solutions are provided to meet those customer requirements. * Coordination with Customer Services Department for the review of cost estimates, including the identification and introduction of new opportunities to enhance current project or specific customer profitability. * Establishment and management of overseas Agents and Partners defining areas of responsibility, assignment of objectives and reviewing Agents and Partners’ performance. * Achieve relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and make recommendations for the necessary courses of action to achieve optimum results. To Be Considered: Essential Criteria: * Good verbal and written communication. * Must be available for overseas travel to visit customer and attend trade shows as and when required. * Bachelor's degree in related field (preferably in Engineering or Business) or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong knowledge of the aero engine MRO industry. Desirable Experience: * Experience in the PT6 and RR250 aero engine MRO sector preferred but not essential. * Minimum of 5 years of direct sales / customer service experience. * Minimum of 3 years of business development / management experience. Other skills/Abilities Skills: * Strong business management skills. * Strong relationship builder with an ability to identify and develop strong operational relationships both internally and externally. * Can communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Abilities: * Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers. * Prepare detailed and accurate business reports and correspondence for both internal and external recipients
