Job Description:
Join Duram Solutions as a Design Engineer and be a key player in the creation and development of innovative products and systems. Your expertise in CAD and MS Office software will be essential for generating manufacturing drawings, concept development models, customer approval drawings, instructional documentation, and product testing and inspection documentation. Additionally, you will utilize business management software to manage bills of materials, review internal notifications, gather quote and job-related information, and oversee inventory data.
Key Responsibilities: CAD and MS Office Software: Create manufacturing drawings Develop models for concept development based on customer requirements Generate customer approval drawings Produce instructional documentation Document product testing and inspection Business Management Software: Create bills of materials for manufacturing and purchasing Review and manage internal notifications Gather and organize quote and job-related information Search, review, and edit inventory data as needed Project Management: Effectively manage time and handle multiple projects simultaneously Collaborate with team leaders to prioritize tasks Design, engineer, and prototype new products and systems to meet customer needs Maintain a detail-oriented and holistic approach to product development Production and Quality Control: Participate in the development of production methods and fixtures Work within budget constraints to deliver safe and efficient products on time Attend meetings to provide input and updates Review, produce, and maintain design documentation Implement customer specifications in product designs Maintain and store design files and revision data Explain design changes as needed Participate in quality control inspections and system testing Skills Needed:
Proficiency in CAD software Strong knowledge of MS Office software Excellent project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and holistic approach to product development Knowledge Required:
High school diploma required, associate degree or higher preferred Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods Familiarity with business management software Knowledge of quality control and inspection processes Ability to Implement:
Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings and models Capability to manage bills of materials and inventory data Skill in developing and documenting product testing and inspection procedures Benefits:
