About

Manager (m/f/d), Sales, Protein Fortification

Join Ingredion, where innovation impacts lives worldwide! Without even realizing it, you’ve experienced our work in your favorite chocolate, your pet’s food, the paper you write on, and your everyday snacks. As a global powerhouse across more than 60 industries, we harness the potential of natural ingredients to transform lives. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of experience, there's a place for you here to make a real difference. Be part of our team that values a wide range of perspectives and is committed to shaping a better world with every product we create.

As a Sales Manager (m/f/d), you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of Protein Fortification in EMEA. Reporting to the Director Healthful Solutions EMEA, you will lead high‑performing teams, partner with key customers and bring innovative solutions to market while driving growth and making a real impact in a fast‑evolving industry.

What you will do:
  • Lead and inspire the team – Motivate and develop cross‑functional teams (sales, technical, supply chain, commercial) to deliver the sales strategy, achieve growth targets, and build a high‑performance, engaged, and digitally enabled culture.
  • Drive business growth – Develop and execute a sales plan to expand market share in protein fortification, launch new products successfully, and maintain a strong pipeline of projects with both existing and new customers.
  • Deliver results – Accurately forecast and achieve sales, profit, and volume targets while leveraging competitor insights and adapting strategies to surpass goals.
  • Manage key accounts – Build and strengthen customer relationships, co‑develop tailored protein solutions, and oversee contract negotiations to maximize value for both customers and the company.
  • Ensure pricing and process excellence – Lead the contracting process, embed best practices across the team, and position the company as the premium provider of specialty ingredients.
  • Coordinate resources effectively – Collaborate with technical service, supply chain, finance, marketing, and customer service to deliver fast and seamless support to customers.
  • Foster innovation and customer centricity – Act as the voice of the customer, accelerate adoption of new products, identify growth opportunities, and ensure an outstanding customer experience across all touchpoints.
What you will bring:
  • Extensive experience in protein sales with established customer contacts in the protein industry, ideally in the plant‑based protein market.
  • Relevant academic background (food science, business, or economics) combined with commercial experience in specialty food ingredients, chemicals, or related industries; understanding of protein technology and functionality is a plus.
  • Proven leadership and sales track record with strong management skills, successful team development, and a history of driving projects, sales growth, and business results.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, including business strategy development, cross‑functional collaboration, and deep understanding of market drivers and bottom‑line impact.
  • Digital fluency and technical knowledge, with skills in data management, digital tools, and solid knowledge of food processes, ingredient functionality, and interactions; fluent in English.
Who you are:
  • A strategic thinker who anticipates market changes, sets clear priorities, and envisions future opportunities.
  • Customer‑centric with the ability to create distinctive value, build deep relationships, and maintain an entrepreneurial, market‑winning mindset.
  • A proven people leader who builds talent, strengthens organizational capabilities, and drives execution while identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Agile, open‑minded, and culturally aware, with the ability to adapt quickly, embrace new ideas, and work effectively across diverse teams and regions.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively (at least 50%) across the region to engage with customers and visit company sites.
