About the Role

Chocolate House is looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our dessert team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality crepes, waffles, and milkshakes while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and speed during service. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fun, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items including crepes, waffles, milkshakes, and other specialty desserts.
  • Operate and maintain crepe machines, waffle makers, and commercial milkshake blenders.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Prep daily ingredients (cut fruits, melt chocolate, stock toppings, prepare batter).
  • Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Maintain food safety standards and follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to keep service running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Valid Food Handler / Food Safety Certificate (Required).
  • Experience working with crepe machines, waffle makers, and milkshake equipment (Required).
  • Previous line cook, prep cook, or dessert shop experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly under pressure.
  • Excellent hygiene and knowledge of basic food safety principles.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork-focused, and reliable attendance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
