User Interface Specialist

Overview:

We are looking for a UI/UX Specialist to lead the
modernization of legacy application interfaces
into intuitive, accessible, and responsive web experiences. The role spans
discovery of existing screens, workflows, and usability issues
, through to
design and support for implementation in Angular (or similar modern frameworks)
. Experience transforming large-scale enterprise applications with hundreds of screens and reports into streamlined, user-centric solutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Review and assess existing screens, forms, and workflows to identify pain points and simplification opportunities.
• Conduct workshops with stakeholders and users to capture
  personas, journeys, and usability requirements
  .
• Propose modern UI/UX concepts, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and style guides to support front-end development.
• Partner with Business Analysts to align UI design with functional requirements and reporting needs.
• Support developers during implementation, ensuring designs translate correctly into Angular (or similar front-end frameworks).
• Provide recommendations for consolidating redundant or low-use screens and reports.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally in
  enterprise application environments
  .
• Strong portfolio showcasing
  legacy-to-modern UI/UX redesigns
  .
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.).
• Knowledge of
  modern web frameworks (Angular, React, or similar)
  .
• Experience with
  enterprise workflows and reporting use cases
  .
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across business and technical teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience modernizing
  green-screen or VRPG-based applications
  into web interfaces.
• Familiarity with IBM i / AS400 application landscapes.
