Part-Time Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages with precision and care.
• Operate the POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, equipment, and seating areas.
• Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
• Utilize time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and camaraderie.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques in the food industry.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
