About

The Business Development and Sales Director is responsible for driving business growth across European markets by developing strategic relationships, negotiating profitable sales, and expanding the Company’s market presence in different key industries. This role requires close collaboration with the General Manager, the marketing team, and the global Head of BD and Sales to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and sales strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and execute strategies for long-term customer engagement, anticipating needs, soliciting business opportunities and mitigating risks.
Strategic Proposal Development:
Establish frameworks for high-impact proposals that support European growth objectives and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Customer Pricing Optimization:
Partner with BU and functional leaders to develop competitive pricing strategies using advanced sales models and market insights.
Market Expansion:
Lead targeted outreach initiatives to identify and engage new customers in different industries, ensuring proposals reflect strategic priorities for European growth leveraging GPSI skill set and market reputation.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with marketing, Customer Account Managers and internal teams to enhance communication protocols, clearly conveying negotiation and expectations and demonstrating progress on Sales and BD initiatives.
Networking & Representation:
Represent the company at strategic networking and industry events across Europe to build partnerships and customer engagement supporting team growth and revenue objectives.
Revenue Target Achievement:
Drive initiatives and contribute to achieving the GPSI Europe sales budget, ensuring alignment with overall committed revenue objectives for GPSI.

Revenue growth of existing customers
Number of new customers acquired in Europe
Achieving the monthly target sales (GM, revenue, etc.) within assigned territory
REQUIREMENTS
College degree in business management and/or sales (preferred)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial sales, manufacturing, or supply chain
Financial and legal (Contracts) understanding is a key advantage
Valid driver’s license and unrestricted passport
Experience working in European markets and multicultural environments
SKILLS
Bilingual, therefore excellent command of French and English, preferred but not essential (oral and written)
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio an asset)
Knowledge of supply chain and sales techniques (preferred)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT This position may be performed remotely or from a home office, subject to agreement with the General Manager, Europe. However, it is anticipated that the role will transition to a hybrid arrangement during 2026. The employee must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from distractions. Regular use of standard office equipment such as a computer, headset, and other digital tools is required.
Virtual Client Interaction:
Ability to conduct video calls, webinars, and virtual presentations using platforms like Teams or Zoom.
CRM and Sales Tools:
Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and digital sales tools to manage leads, track opportunities, and report progress.
Travel Requirements:
Must be available for travel to client sites, tradeshows, and/or other in-person meetings as needed.
Quiet Environment for Calls:
A professional setting suitable for frequent phone and video conversations with clients and prospects.
Time Zone Awareness:
Capability to adjust working hours to accommodate clients in different regions when necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate via video calls, phone, and email. Frequent use of hands for typing and operating a computer is expected. Occasional standing or walking may be required during virtual meetings or while working from home.
TYPE OF POSITION / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time remote position. Some flexibility in scheduling is allowed; however, the employee must be available during core business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time) and work approximately 40 hours per week.
