About
To deliver our work successfully, our 600+ staff use a range of desktop and mobile IT applications, including Agile Assets, Unity, KOREC, Inform, Esri and Power BI, with underlying data held in Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases. These systems are used for incident response, inventory management, inspections, maintenance activities, in-depth data analysis, and intervention planning. In addition, CPS trials and implements a wide range of new technology on the network.
This is a great opportunity for a QA professional to establish, shape, and run a testing capability in a high-profile business, working on a wide range of established and new projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Establish a range of testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and potentially test automation
Manage and track bugs/issues
Contribute to the requirements and design stages of projects, bringing testing knowledge and planning to the process
Collaborate closely with project team members and stakeholders, building effective relationships
Live the Connect Plus Services values
Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
Support the delivery of Connect Plus Services sustainability activities
Who We’re Looking For
At least two years’ experience in software testing, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and potentially automated testing
An understanding of spatial data and linear referencing systems/models
Ability to trace data flows through client-server systems and diagnose issues
Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Flexible, motivated, and able to persevere in challenging situations
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)

This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
