Ernest Hunter Green has been appointed as the exclusive search partner for a Head of Sales & Marketing position, based in Southampton.
This is a pivotal role for a leading organisation with mixed assets spanning leisure, marinas, and commercial real estate across multiple UK sites.
We’re looking for a leader who combines commercial sharpness, creative thinking and a proven ability to turn ideas into action.
Key elements of the opportunity:
A true 50/50 sales & marketing remit
Optimising the performance of the UK, multisite, multi asset business and unlocking new, or enhancing existing revenue streams
Leading customer acquisition, retention, digital strategy and on‑site experience
Oversight of all sales & marketing activity across a multi‑site leisure, marina, holiday park, commercial real estate and health & wellbeing product offering
Responsibility for group sales, sales strategy, product development, customer loyalty schemes, CRM and marketing.
You will be expected to review and manage the enquiry generation, management and sales conversion process and make changes to improve the group conversion rate.
Be responsible for the Sales Management System, KPI reporting and the creation of online sales tools.
You will lead the marketing team, assessing market intelligence, to ensure that communications that relate to the sale of any of the organisation's core products target an appropriate market and ensure the results of such campaigns can be monitored effectively.
A clear progression pathway to Director/Board level, with real scope to influence growth
Can you:
Optimise current product offerings and take them to the next level
Nurture, guide, advise, coach, support and develop a sales and marketing team
Provide examples of experience in working in a sales and marketing capacity across a multisite, multi‑product business
Challenge, ask why, come up with creative ideas with sound commercial judgement
Drive footfall, create a sense of vibrancy and turn a ‘space’ into a ‘place’
Do you have either:
Experience from within the Real Estate sector (commercial, mixed use, retirement villages)
Experience from within the Marinas, or waterfront assets industry or
Experience from within the Leisure or Hospitality sector where you have been responsible for multiple sites or multiple products such as gyms, hotels, spa's, golfing, or restaurant facilities
