Job Summary Project Design Engineer required by a leading UK company delivering large-scale Engineered Solutions! This hands‑on and rewarding role involves working closely with the sales team to secure new business by developing practical design solutions that turn exhibition and retail concepts into buildable structures. The role also supports the production team with guidance on fabrication, assembly, and installation methods, creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings in SolidWorks, and managing multiple live projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
Develop smart, practical design solutions for exhibition and retail concepts.
Collaborate with sales to secure new business.
Provide clear guidance on fabrication, assembly, and installation methods.
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings in SolidWorks.
Manage multiple live projects from concept through to completion.
Requirements
Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, exhibition or retail display design.
Strong CAD design and drawing experience (SolidWorks essential).
Mechanically minded with a practical understanding of how structures fit together.
Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across sales, clients and production teams.
Nice-to-Have
Formal engineering qualification.
