Head of Desk (FI/NBFI Sales) Join: IFX Payments – award‑winning global provider of foreign exchange & payment solutions. Mission: become number‑one service‑led alternative banking partner in EMEA for corporates and financial institutions.
Overview of the role Lead and manage a team of Business Development Executives focused on selling to financial institutions – PSPs and neo‑banks. Drive team performance and achieve sales objectives.
Responsibilities
Management – set targets, KPIs, provide tools, training, support framework, conduct regular reviews, hire, resolve issues, reward performance, support development.
Sales strategy and planning – develop tailored strategies, conduct market analysis, forecast revenue, manage pipeline.
Customer relationship management / sales execution – acquire new clients, guide consultative selling.
Sales operations – CRM management, reporting to senior management.
Collaboration and communication – cross‑functional collaboration, keep team informed.
Compliance and risk management – ensure regulatory compliance.
Product knowledge – maintain deep understanding, give training.
Business development – pursue partnerships, explore new markets.
Budget management – manage sales budget, control costs.
Innovation & continuous improvement – gather feedback, encourage innovation.
Requirements
Experience leading high‑performance teams in FX or financial services.
Experience selling to regulated financial institutions, understanding regulation.
Proven track record of driving new business and meeting/exceeding targets.
Solid understanding of currency markets, hedging, international payments.
Strong strategic thinking, ability to align strategies with objectives.
Analytical skills for market trend analysis and opportunity identification.
Commercial modelling and analysis capability.
Team player with winning mentality, strong work ethic, commitment to improvement.
Adaptable, tenacious, flexible under pressure.
