About

Fast paced interventional cardiology practice seeks an experienced cardiology physician assistant or ARNP. Join our team of 15 APPs, 9 cardiologists, and 1 Vascular Surgeon in Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, and Lakeland. Immediate opening available.
Work with our physicians to deliver quality patient care, conduct physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in treatment plans. Requires at least ONE year inpatient or outpatient experience in cardiology or internal medicine, strong communication skills, and teamwork ability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care:
* Take detailed medical histories and conduct thorough physical exams.
* Assess, monitor, and manage patients with vascular conditions.
* Assist in the management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing vascular procedures.
* Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding cardiovascular health, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
* Document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.
* Clinical Duties:
* Assist in the management of acute and chronic vascular diseases.
* Prescribe medications and make recommendations for treatment, under the supervision of the surgeon.
* Participate in rounds in the hospital and provide updates on patient progress.
* Conduct follow-up visits with patients to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust as needed.
Qualifications:
* Education and Experience:
* Current Florida state licensure with no restrictions
* Minimum one year of inpatient or outpatient experience required.
* BLS/ACLS certification required.
* Skills and Abilities:
* Strong knowledge of vascular diseases and treatments.
* Ability to assess and diagnose patients effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both with patients and the healthcare team.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $128,061.79 per year
