JOB SUMMARY
The SEO Director leads our clients’ SEO programs and drives organic growth. They play a pivotal role in creating high-performing SEO campaigns for our clients, managing associate team members, and helping grow the SEO practice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strategic Planning
Leads strategy for brands, ensuring all tactical outputs align with strategic goals. Uses a data-driven approach to decision-making and meets KPIs.
Client Management
Owns the client relationship, manages expectations, identifies gaps and opportunities, and keeps clients informed on SEO best practices and optimization decisions.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary owner of client relationships and main point of contact for satisfaction.
Ensures adherence to best practices and process consistency across accounts.
Manages client expectations, identifies areas for improvement, and creates opportunities.
Collaborates with analytics team to set benchmarks and recommend KPIs.
Oversees client presentations and reporting, ensuring clarity and impact.
Identifies opportunities to automate and improve internal processes.
Mentors junior team members and supports team process development.
Challenges teams on data-driven rationale for strategies and tactics.
Crafts POVs based on changes in the organic search landscape.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
8+ years in SEO and 5+ years in healthcare/pharma required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLookUp).
Expertise in Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
Deep understanding of content and technical SEO, web development basics, and omnichannel strategies.
Ability to analyze healthcare industry news, regulations, and market landscape.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to present insights clearly and confidently to clients and teams.
Leadership skills to manage and mentor teams.
