Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta

Position Type: Contract

Wage/Salary Range: $ per hour

Shift Schedule: Project-based schedule running until December 16; shifts as assigned

Hours Per Day: 10 to 12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Class 3 Hydrovac Operator to join our Valued Clients team for work in the Fort McMurray region. This is a contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate hydrovac equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Perform excavation and daylighting tasks according to site requirements.

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment in good working order.

  • Follow all safety procedures, site protocols, and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 3 Driver's Licence with clean abstract.

  • Mask fit testing certification.

  • Fall Protection certification.

  • CSO or OSSA BSO with OSSA Regional.

  • Confined Space Entry and Monitor certifications.

  • Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness.

  • Ground Disturbance certification.

  • H2S Alive certification.

  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and complete required client orientation.

  • Previous hydrovac operating experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of safe excavation practices.

  • Experience working on large industrial projects.

Work Environment:

  • Work will be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Requires operation of heavy equipment and adherence to strict safety standards.

  • Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
