- London, England, United Kingdom
About
We are proud to be a certified B Corp, and we put purpose at the heart of what we do. Our founder, Ros, is also a mentor for Ocado’s Roots programme, helping support the next generation of sustainable food brands.
At Borough Broth, we believe good food should do good too. Every broth we make is crafted with care, supporting local farmers and nourishing our community.
About the Role As Head of Content, you will lead how Borough Broth shows up and speaks to the world across social channels, storytelling, and community building. You will take ownership of our brand’s creative and strategic direction on social media, shaping how we engage, inspire, and grow our community.
This is a hands‑on role for a content leader who can balance creativity with strategy, someone who can craft brilliant ideas and also set a clear vision for what great looks like. You will define our tone of voice, oversee all social storytelling, and bring our brand to life in ways that build genuine connection and brand fame.
You will manage a small in‑house team of content creators, including a videographer and editor and a community manager, while collaborating cross‑functionally with PR, CRM, and our website teams to ensure a consistent brand story. For bigger campaigns, you will work with trusted agencies and freelancers, always with an eye on quality, creativity, and authenticity. The rest of the marketing team has a Marketing Director, Brand Manager and a Senior Marketing Manager.
What you'll do:
Develop and own Borough Broth’s organic social strategy, defining channel goals, content pillars, and creative direction
Shape and evolve the brand’s tone of voice and visual identity across social platforms
Lead creative storytelling that builds community, increases engagement, and grows brand love
Manage, mentor, and inspire your content team, nurturing creative confidence and collaboration
Oversee the production of social content, ensuring it is impactful, on‑brand, and authentic
Lead our influencer and creator partnerships, ensuring they align with our values and storytelling approach
Collaborate closely with CRM, PR, and digital teams to maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints
Use insights and platform trends to refine our approach and keep Borough Broth ahead of the curve
Champion our organic, sustainable ethos through storytelling that connects people with purpose
Your First‑Year Roadmap:
3 months:
Immerse yourself in the Borough Broth brand, our products, and our community. Define our social tone of voice and begin shaping a clear direction for content.
6 months:
Deliver a full social channel strategy, including content pillars, formats, and a posting rhythm that brings consistency and creativity. Build trust and collaboration across the marketing and creative teams.
12 months:
Lead Borough Broth to new heights of brand recognition with clear community growth, impactful organic campaigns, and a strong creative identity that sets us apart in the category.
Who you are: You will thrive in this role if you are a creative leader with a strategic mind, someone who can turn ideas into beautiful, meaningful stories that resonate. You are as confident writing a post as you are shaping a campaign, and you are energised by the idea of building a standout food brand with purpose.
You bring:
Experience leading content or social for a food, FMCG, or lifestyle brand
A strong mix of strategic thinking and creative execution, with a focus on organic storytelling
Excellent copywriting skills and an instinct for crafting brand voice and tone
Hands‑on experience across Instagram and TikTok, with a pulse on emerging trends
Confidence managing small creative teams and external collaborators
A genuine passion for sustainability, quality food, and purposeful brands
Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 DOE Logistics: Hybrid working - three days in‑office (WeWork locations), with two days remote.
