*POSITION OVERVIEW *
We are seeking an experienced *client-facing IT Project Manager* to lead complex consulting engagements for Capto’s enterprise clients. This role is responsible for driving large-scale technology and outsourcing transition projects, working hand-in-hand with client executives, cross-functional teams, and multiple vendors.
The ideal candidate has a proven ability to operate in high-stakes environments, align diverse stakeholder groups, manage multi-vendor delivery models, and ensure strategic programs are executed with discipline, transparency, and predictable outcomes. Experience with outsourcing transitions, MSP/SI governance, SDLC/DDLC processes, and enterprise transformations is strongly preferred.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES *
*Client Leadership & Project Delivery*
* Act as the primary day-to-day project lead for Capto’s consulting engagements, driving execution across client, supplier, and Capto teams.
* Build strong relationships with client leadership (VPs, Directors) and serve as a trusted advisor during strategic outsourcing transitions.
* Lead planning, governance, and execution for large-scale MSP transition-in or transformation programs.
* Facilitate steering committee updates, leadership communications, status reporting, and risk escalations.
*Project Leadership & Management*
* Provide end-to-end management of enterprise IT projects across multiple stakeholder groups, including client teams, offshore/nearshore MSPs, and other third-party partners.
* Develop transition project plans, readiness checklists, RAIDs, governance mechanisms, and cross-provider delivery frameworks.
* Coordinate, coach, and influence teams without direct authority, ensuring all parties stay aligned on deliverables, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality standards.
* Ensure crisp issue management, structured problem solving, and proactive risk mitigation throughout the program lifecycle.
*Vendor & Outsourcing Management *
* Manage day-to-day interactions with client and MSP offshore/nearshore delivery teams.
* Oversee contractually driven deliverables, service readiness milestones, and transition gating activities.
* Oversee outsourcing relationships and vendor performance management
* Establish and oversee governance frameworks for offshore and nearshore development teams
* Ensure vendors deliver according to commitments, escalating performance issues appropriately.
*Quality Assurance & Risk Management*
* Establish and maintain governance cadences including daily standups, weekly checkpoints, steering committees, and phase gate reviews.
* Monitor RAID logs, transition readiness criteria, quality standards, and project health indicators.
* Review MSP provided materials for compliance with MSP SOW and contractual commitments, quality and completeness.
* Identify risks early, drive resolution plans, and ensure transparency with client leadership.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education & Certifications*
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
* PMP and additional certifications (Agile, Scrum Master, ITIL) preferred
*Experience*
* 8+ years of IT project management experience in enterprise environments with significant client-facing responsibilities.
* Experience leading or supporting large-scale outsourcing, MSP transitions, or SI transitions.
* Demonstrated ability to work directly with VP, and Director-level stakeholders.
* Experience overseeing offshore/nearshore vendor delivery, governance, and readiness activities.
* Demonstrated experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
*Technical Skills *
* Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
* Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
* Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and IT infrastructure
* Knowledge of database management systems and data integration technologies
*Core Competencies *
* Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to senior leadership.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Strong consulting toolkit: issue structuring, RAID management, meeting facilitation, crisp written communication.
* Comfort working in fast-moving, politically complex, multi-vendor environments.
*Preferred Qualifications *
* Experience managing outsourcing relationships and vendor partnerships
* Experience supporting audit and compliance initiatives (SOX, ITGC, etc.), ensuring proper documentation and controls
* Experience with enterprise data management projects, including data architecture, data governance, master data management, data migration, and business intelligence
* Experience with Oracle Financials implementation and maintenance

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
