Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Delivery Driver plays a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
• Ensure accurate delivery of freight according to schedules and delivery instructions
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues
• Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required to keep vehicles in optimal condition
• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred
• Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
• Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous
• Prior experience with freight handling and logistics operations is beneficial
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
