About
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products, including quality assurance automation solutions, in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You are responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm’s business objectives. Working on the 'Transact' application, you will gain knowledge of front-to-back foreign exchange processing, from order and trade execution through to confirmation and settlement.
Build and enhance automated tests and frameworks across the Transact UI and back end services
Integrate automated tests and frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
Produce architecture and design artifacts for QA automation, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Contribute to test design, testing priorities, test status tracking within an agile development environment
Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Software Engineering or Quality Automation and proficient applied experience.
Ability to manage stakeholders at various levels of seniority
Proficient in coding in one or more languages (e.g. Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript)
Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, API, and microservices
Experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or Karate Framework
Experience writing test automation scripts using BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber, Gherkin) and working within Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to support and evolve CI/CD platforms for continuous testing, with hands-on experience using Git, GitLab runners, or equivalent tools
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
Exposure to cloud technologies
Experience in performance test execution using tools like JMeter
Strong exposure to debugging production issues by checking application and monitoring logs
Knowledge of SQL
Understanding of application resiliency and security best practices
Experience with open-source UI test tools and frameworks
