WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations of commission revenue and expense transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations and external partners to investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile payroll deduction accounts and ensure all remittances comply with CRA and provincial guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit annual filings of T4A, RL-1, CNESST.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Accurately process and post insurance commission transactions using the BlueSun WealthServ platform.
  • Import and validate commission statements from insurance carriers into WealthServ and promptly resolving discrepancies with other internal stakeholders.
  • Generate commission reports for timely payout to advisors while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting operational efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to commission processing activities.
  • Support the continuous improvement of commission processing systems and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Investigate any system related issue and assist in logging a support ticket with vendors and/or internal technology teams.
  • Ensure all commission processing activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and respond to inquiries within agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with financial services operations, especially insurance, wealth management or dealership environments.
  • Experience performing complex reconciliations involving multiple data sources.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, invoicing software, and accounting principles is preferred.
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential along with familiarity with other office productivity tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and CRA requirements would be an asset
