Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PPM) on air‑cooled, water‑cooled, absorption and adiabatic chillers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults on compressors, condensers, evaporators, control systems, pumps and pipework.
Perform F‑Gas leak detection, recovery and recharging in compliance with regulations.
Identify optimisation opportunities and provide client advisory on upgrades.
Liaise professionally with clients, explaining work and building relationships.
Complete accurate service reports, timesheets and expense submissions using mobile technology.
Adhere to health & safety regulations, risk assessments and method statements.
Participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (every 14 weeks).
Provide technical support to junior technicians and apprentices.
Requirements
Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualifications.
CSCS card, IPAF, PASMA certification.
Experience with building management systems (BMS) and controls.
Familiarity with absorption chillers.
