Mahogany Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a leading oral surgical practice specializing in a wide range of procedures, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implant surgery, and corrective jaw surgery. Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate and safe environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Oral Surgery Administrator to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting administrative functions. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience in a dental or oral surgery setting who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Provide patients and their support persons with clear, ongoing communication throughout their experience.
  • Confidently explain and schedule treatments, ensuring patients understand their care plans.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage incoming referrals and coordinate appointments.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Verify and process insurance claims, billing, and collections.
  • Complete day-end duties, including reconciliation and reporting.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the surgical and administrative teams to ensure seamless workflows.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Support other team members as required to maintain efficiency and excellence in patient care.

Operational Support:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, technologies, and procedures related to practice administration.
  • Assist in coordinating treatment plans with referring offices.
  • Take initiative to identify and address areas for improvement in daily operations.

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental or oral surgery practice is required.
  • Proficiency in data entry and strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Curve Hero software is an asset.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
