Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Inside Sales Representative to join our commercial team. This role is centered on outbound sales calls, lead qualification, and building relationships with small to medium-sized accounts. You'll handle inbound inquiries, follow up on leads, and support a small portfolio of recurring business, ensuring each customer receives responsive, high-quality service.

This is a revenue-generating position that requires confidence on the phone, consistent follow-through, and strong communication skills. For the right candidate who demonstrates success, this position could lead to advancement into a Business Development Manager outside sales role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to generate new business across target industries
  • Qualify and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities
  • Manage and grow a small-to-medium account portfolio with timely, professional communication
  • Provide quick and accurate rate quotes, proposals, and follow-ups
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business
  • Collaborate with operations and dispatch to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Track and report sales activity in CRM tools
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives, including digital marketing (if experienced)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, logistics, or customer service (transportation industry an asset)
  • Excellent phone communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident initiating outbound calls and managing customer interactions
  • Organized, reliable, and responsive with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve measurable results
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Valid driver's license (for occasional outside sales calls or customer visits)
