Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
HR Assistant
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support the Human Resources department in daily administrative tasks, employee relations, and recruitment efforts. This role requires excellent organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks and coordinate onboarding for new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and privacy regulations.
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Support compliance with employment standards, health & safety, and staffing regulations.
  • Communicate with candidates and staff regarding scheduling, payroll inquiries, and HR policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement.
  • Maintain databases and tracking systems for staff credentials, training, and availability.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure timely placement of healthcare professionals.

  • Support other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth HR operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or administrative support.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with Ontario employment standards and HR best practices is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license (preferred).
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Status: Part-time, permanent – work on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays

Rate:
$24.00 per hour

Job Type:
Part-time (20–24 hours per week)

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), occasionally 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Day shift / occasionally evening shift
