We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help evolve our platform within a service-oriented architecture. You’ll work alongside engineers, product managers, and designers to build and deliver high-value features that drive our business forward. What you'll be doing
We’ll support you as you get up to speed with our teams, product domains, tech stack, and processes—helping you understand how we collaborate and deliver together. Design, build, and refine
the services and domains that power our platform, shaping the core capabilities that enable our product. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering
to take ideas from concept to delivery—balancing speed with robust, scalable solutions. Contribute to our engineering culture
by continuously improving how we work—streamlining processes, enhancing collaboration, and ensuring we leave things better than we found them. Mentor and support other engineers , sharing your expertise to foster growth within the team. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact—not just on the codebase, but on how we build, collaborate, and grow as a team. Your background
Our main tech stack includes: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes & Docker, Kotlin, Temporal, SpringBoot, React.js, Typescript, Material-UI, Next.js Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreS, and Kafka. If you have production scale experience in a different stack (Go, Java, Python, Scala, C#, etc.) and are interested in moving to a new stack, we should chat! Who you are You're a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex problems and building impactful solutions, and you care about making a difference. Take the initiative to
own outcomes from start to finish —knowing what needs to be done within your domain and how we work together to deliver the best solution. You have a passion for developing your craft and know what it takes to build quality, robust, and scalable solutions. You’ll learn from setbacks and help the team improve continuously. Required qualifications and experience Proficient with a
JVM language
(Kotlin or Java; Scala, Groovy, etc. are also acceptable) 5+
years of relevant development experience building production-grade solutions Delivery-focused with exposure to SOA and/or microservices Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines for production services Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) Experience collaborating with remote teams across time zones Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly Nice to have Familiar with containerisation and Kubernetes Experience with Kafka or other pub/sub messaging Notes
