About
Advanced expertise in mathematical modelling, statistical inference, and agent-based modelling. Proven ability to lead teams in designing and implementing complex data models and analytics solutions. Mastery of general-purpose programming languages (Python, C#, or similar) and data analysis packages. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients and internal stakeholders, including the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Demonstrated experience in managing large data sets, from onboarding through exploratory analysis and insight generation. Facility with SQL, data modelling, and data management tools. Ability to solve problems thoroughly, quickly, and creatively, with a keen eye for detail. Experience in litigation tracking, risk transfer solutions, and supporting customer adoption of analytics products. Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use. Education
Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics, bioengineering, bioinformatics, or related field) plus significant relevant commercial experience. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline plus extensive relevant commercial experience may be considered. Responsibilities
Synopsis: Lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics and modelling solutions for the global casualty insurance market. Key Responsibilities: Direct and oversee the analytics and modelling team in designing, building, and maintaining quantitative models for casualty insurance. Identify, gather, and organise new streams of data to support innovative modelling approaches. Ensure quality assurance and repeatable processes for model application production. Develop and implement solutions for exposure quantification, damage assessment, and scenario modelling. Communicate insights and methodologies to clients and internal teams, supporting adoption and understanding of analytics products. Drive research efforts to discover new pathways to litigation and explore casualty underwriting, pricing, reserving, and risk transfer solutions. Our Casualty Analytics team is responsible for delivering data and analytics to the global casualty insurance market. We develop cutting-edge model solutions and support litigation tracking and research. We explore new approaches to casualty underwriting, pricing, reserving, and risk transfer.
