Profile Summary Driving and supporting various initiatives to enhance Regional Compliance Framework, working closely with all compliance stakeholders in the region. Responsible for developing meaningful compliance reporting framework and developing a robust Compliance framework that encompasses today's and future regulatory & integrity risks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support as part of the RCCO team to enhance EMEA region's Compliance Framework, including Head Office reporting and the Quality Assurance program.
Supporting and leading many of the Compliance harmonization projects (including the development of harmonized CIB integrated procedural frameworks across all EMEA Mizuho offices).
Supporting and coordinating regional development of common departmental Compliance strategy, plans and targets, taking into account regulatory and operational timelines.
Provide support and best practices to EMEA Mizuho offices, and proactively work with the Head of Regional CCO office, to identify areas of support and positive initiatives.
Monitor and maintain the oversight of Mizuho group compliance policies and focus areas, also through the conducting of periodic checks - and relevant reporting to the Compliance Department Europe Office/HO - according to the HOP and the Compliance Action Program of each EMEA Mizuho office.
Be engaged in the launch and conducting of the new Quality Assurance Project on the local compliance/anti-financial crime teams across the region.
Lead the standardization and improvement of business processes and identify operational issues and risks and the status of resource allocation across the EMEA region through the involvement in the day-to-day operations of EMEA Mizuho offices.
Maintain proactive communication with all internal and external stakeholders, showing positive and cooperative attitude.
Responsible for adequate documentation and reporting in the area of responsibility.
Prepare and support development of Regional Management Information package, working with all key stakeholders.
Adequately support timely addressing any audit items and regulatory deliverables.
Proactively advise the Head of Regional CCO Office, about compliance developments and risks (including concrete risk mitigations and proposed solutions).
Support timely preparation and submission of group and regulatory reports.
Support identify training, coaching and support to regional compliance staff.
Perform and support projects and UAT testing where compliance input is necessary.
Support various regional Corporate Governance and enhancement initiatives.
Drives and supports the maintenance and development of enhanced compliance systems and (if any) support in the performance of AML system validation checks.
Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
Bachelor or Master degree in Compliance, or Certified Compliance Professional
More than 5 years financial compliance experience
High analytical, communication and social skills
Excellent IT application and creativity skills, to prepare presentations in an inspiring way
Professional level English language, and ideally 1-2 key European languages
Banking and Regulatory Experience
Great organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrable ability to solve problem
Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance
