– Up to £72,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to support exterior systems design activities for a world‑class luxury vehicle manufacturer. This is a superb opportunity to contribute to the design and development of exterior components, ensuring class‑leading quality, function, and aesthetic appeal within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality 3D and 2D CAD models using CATIA V6 for exterior systems and components.
Conduct feasibility and package studies to ensure robust design solutions that meet technical, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including CAE and manufacturing engineers, to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
Provide technical input during design reviews and throughout the full product development lifecycle.
Liaise with engineering teams both in the UK and overseas to support seamless project delivery.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer – Automotive Exteriors within the automotive industry.
Proficient in CATIA V6 with strong knowledge of exterior systems such as bumpers, trims, glazing, and body panels.
Fluent in English, capable of clear and precise technical communication.
CAE capability is highly advantageous.
Mandarin language skills would be considered a strong additional benefit.
