Sales Director – OEM Quanex is seeking a Sales Director to lead organic growth within the OEM RTM by creating and executing sales strategies, aligning with our overall strategic plan and targets.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day leadership and strategic direction for the hardware division, driving share growth in the OEM RTM.
Create an efficient go‑to‑market process that optimises the customer journey and aligns relevant stakeholders with customer delivery.
Develop and execute an RTM sales plan that delivers or exceeds organic growth objectives set out in the international hardware strategic roadmap.
Develop and implement key account strategies that link customer needs, product and service propositions to drive retention and growth.
Set realistic stretch targets to drive performance across the sales organization and hold stakeholders accountable for delivering agreed plans.
Optimise price and tender management to generate sustainable margins, ensuring increases in input costs are recovered to maintain margin performance.
Provide direction and input to the strategic planning process and regular reporting cycles, including monthly performance reviews, budgeting, forecasting and risk/audit topics.
Develop, motivate and nurture a high‑calibre team, recruiting and retaining top talent and creating an environment that encourages continuous improvement.
Encourage commercial continuous improvement within the customer journey to achieve service excellence, enhance customer retention and drive growth.
Build strong customer relationships, championing the customer inside the business and ensuring needs are understood and exceeded.
Provide strong commercial oversight in supporting new product development and procurement activities to aid product launches.
Collaborate with other teams across the business to align actions, processes and behaviours with the customer journey, improving performance and securing growth.
