This job is a 1099 contract position.
As a Pediatric Occupational therapist you will have a positive impact on the lives of children and families. You will collaborate with families and caregivers to develop personalized care plans to enhance the client's ability to participate in meaningful activities at each stage of development.
*What you’ll do*
* Assess a client's development and implement intervention strategies to help the client reach their next milestones.
* Work with each client to enhance readiness and ability to complete age appropriate Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for effective carryover of acquired skills.
* Provide therapy services in a clinic setting.
* Work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to promote functional skills and enhance abilities in home, school, community and vocational settings.
* Utilize your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment decisions.
* Document client progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure a pattern of positive progress.
* Supervise the work of up to two occupational therapy assistants
*Basic qualifications*
* Valid Florida Occupational Therapy license
* Florida Medicaid provider number preferred
* One year of pediatric experience
*Preferred qualifications*
* Experience with play based intervention methods in a pediatric clinic setting
* Experience using standardized assessment and criterion referenced assessment methods
* Experience using sensory integration techniques to promote organization
* Familiarity with speech therapy techniques as they relate to occupational therapy practices
* Ability to create effective care plans based on individual patient assessments.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $42.00 - $51.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
