About Capital Youth Hub
The Capital Youth Hub, an initiative of the Capital Region Mental Health & Addictions Association (CRMHAA), promotes the mental health and well-being of young people, families, and the broader community through free and low-cost programming. The Hub also connects participants to community supports, programs, and activities that foster resilience, inclusion, and positive development.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Youth Program Manager for a one-year maternity leave contract to oversee and enhance our youth programming. This role involves planning and facilitating engaging, inclusive activities that promote life skills, resiliency, and community connection. The successful candidate will also support youth and families in accessing mental health resources, supervise program staff, and collaborate with the Executive Director on reporting and funding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement youth programs that support mental wellness and skill development
- Prepare and organize program materials and resources
- Facilitate safe, inclusive, and engaging activities for youth of varying ages
- Empower youth to take part in community initiatives
- Deliver pre-designed workshops and courses
- Assist youth and families with resource navigation and referrals
- Participate in outreach and community engagement activities
- Train, supervise, and coordinate program staff and volunteers
- Support grant applications, funding reports, and other administrative duties
- Collaborate with CRMHAA team members to support organizational goals
Qualifications
- Combination of education (related diploma or degree considered an asset) and experience in a related field
- Proven ability to engage youth and families through a participatory, trauma-informed approach
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Creative, resourceful, and motivated to build meaningful programs
- Understanding of youth mental health challenges and positive youth development (lived experience is an asset)
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
