Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with strong expertise in server setup and enterprise-level environments. This is a remote role, ideal for someone who has 5+ years of professional experience developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, along with proven knowledge of performance optimization, scalability, and secure deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins.
  • Set up, configure, and manage enterprise-level servers for WordPress hosting.
  • Optimize performance, security, and scalability of WordPress environments.
  • Collaborate remotely with designers, developers, and project managers.
  • Manage server deployments, DNS, SSL, backups, and monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website/server issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular audits for performance, scalability, and security.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of WordPress development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Expertise with enterprise server environments (Linux, Apache/Nginx, VPS, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean).
  • In-depth understanding of WordPress core, themes, hooks, actions, and filters.
  • Proven experience in performance optimization and WordPress security.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardening (Linux security, firewalls, SSL/TLS best practices).
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Experience with CDN integration (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly).
  • Knowledge of database optimization and caching strategies (Redis, Memcached, Varnish).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
  • Knowledge of server monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise WordPress hosting platforms (e.g., WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon).
  • Experience with multi-site or multi-language WordPress setups.
