*Position Summary:*
The Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) performs non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures to evaluate arterial, venous, and cerebrovascular systems using ultrasound and other specialized equipment. The RVT collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic outcomes.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Perform a full range of vascular ultrasound procedures, including:
* Carotid duplex
* Venous reflux and insufficiency studies
* Arterial and venous Doppler ultrasound (upper and lower extremities)
* Abdominal vascular studies (aorta, renal arteries, mesenteric arteries)
* Ankle-brachial index (ABI)/segmental pressures
* Acquire and analyze patient data for diagnostic interpretation.
* Produce clear, high-quality images for physician review and diagnosis.
* Accurately document findings and measurements in the patient record and/or vascular reporting system.
* Maintain and calibrate ultrasound and diagnostic equipment.
* Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during procedures.
* Follow established protocols, including infection control and HIPAA compliance.
* Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team regarding findings and patient needs.
* Participate in quality assurance and accreditation efforts (e.g., IAC).
* Maintain continuing education and RVT certification in good standing.
*Qualifications:*
* *Education:* Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology program.
* *Certification:* Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS *or* RVS through CCI.
* *Experience:* [Preferred/Required] Minimum 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
* *Skills:*
* Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and diagnostic software
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* High attention to detail and accuracy
*Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
* Ability to lift and position patients when needed
* Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate equipment
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, especially ECW)
* Experience in a hospital-based vascular lab or accredited facility
* BLS or CPR certification
Job Types: Full-time, Per diem
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
